Design and development of a complex Voice over IP Android app with a custom backend API server.
End-to-end design and development of a production-grade VoIP Android application, including a companion backend API server. The app handled real-time audio communication using SIP/RTP protocols, managing call setup, teardown, codec negotiation, and network switching gracefully. The backend API managed user authentication, call routing, and call-record logging. Particular attention was paid to audio quality under poor network conditions through jitter buffering and adaptive bitrate logic.
